Mayor’s Fund for London – Count on Us Challenge
The Maths club that was held in school, helped to fan the flames of children’s curiosity about maths: looking for patterns, noticing relationships and just getting to play with numbers. This has had a positive impact identifying different approaches to solving challenging problems.
A team of three pupils were selected to represent our school in the heats which took place on the 28th April at the London City Hall. Although we were not placed, our pupils were commended on their ‘outside the box’ thinking and their collaboration.
Ensuring that all the pupils had a chance to experience the atmosphere of a tournament, we arranged a final tournament, where pupils and parents had a chance to compete with each other and share their passion for maths.
