Google Classroom Support
We use Google Classroom to share home learning and online resources with children. This page explains how to get started, has short video guides from our staff, and links to Google’s official help.
Need help? If your child can’t log in or something isn’t working, please speak to their class teacher or email info@northbeckton.ttlt.academy.
Getting started
1. Sign in
Go to classroom.google.com or open the Google Classroom app. Sign in with your child’s school Google account, not a personal Gmail account. Their teacher can give you the login details.
2. Find the work
Open your child’s class, then tap Classwork to see assignments. Check the Stream for messages and announcements from the teacher.
3. Hand it in
Open the assignment, add work by typing, attaching a file or taking a photo, then press Hand in. The teacher will see it and can leave feedback.

Common problems
- “I can’t see my child’s class.” Check you are signed in with the school account. Tap your profile picture in the top corner to switch accounts.
- “We’ve forgotten the password.” Please contact the class teacher, who can arrange a reset.
- “The Hand in button isn’t showing.” Make sure you have opened the assignment itself from the Classwork page, not the announcement in the Stream.
- “A photo won’t upload.” Check you have a good internet connection and try again from the app rather than a web browser.
