The Year 5 & 6 children were invited to participate in the Major League Baseball (MLB) First Pitch Festival ahead of the MLB London Series at the London Stadium. In the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the children had the opportunity to take part in a variety of baseball activities including pitching, fielding and playing a game of baseball. They learnt how to strike the ball with a bat, make a home run and many more essential skills to play baseball. The pupils were lucky to meet two professional baseball players David Eckstein of the St. Louis Cardinals and Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs and have their photo taken in front of the MLB World Series Trophy. They were also gifted an MLB t-shirt, badges and their very own baseball bat and ball each.
