Lake District - 2024

Some of our Year 5 children have travelled to the great outdoors on their residential visit to The Lake District National Park. They will be taking part in a variety of activities, including rock climbing, gorge walking, hiking and visiting a local farm, they are sure to have an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. Photos will be uploaded to the gallery as soon as we receive them.  

Day 1: The children arrived safe and well and enjoyed an afternoon exploring within their groups.  They settled down in the evening with an evening jog, a night hike and a warm camp fire. Please click here to view more photos. 

Day 2: The children woke up excited to start a day filled with activities which included rowing, tunnelling, canoeing, gorge walking, scrambling and hiking. Click here to view more photos.   

Day 3: After a well deserved night's sleep, the children enjoyed breakfast and got ready for another day filled with many activities. These included abseiling, climbing, canoeing, hiking and tunnelling. The evening will be spent enjoying a cook-out and camp fire. Click here to view more photos 

Day 4: Today, groups of children enjoyed abseiling, tunnelling and gorge walking, whilst others had an exciting time power boating across the lake followed by a trip to the waterfall. The children also built some bug hotels for the woodland insects. They ended the evening with a group campfire. Click here to view more photos.  

Day 5: Well, what an amazing week the children have had. I am sure the children will have many exciting stories to share about their adventures. What a wonderful experience for them all!
