Fairplay House – November 2025

Year 5 and 6 Trip to Fairplay House: An Unforgettable Adventure

Day 1: The children have arrived safely at Fairplay house – the children have been unpacking their bags and setting up their rooms. They are about to have a lesson in making their beds, before heading out to their first activities!

After enjoying a delicious and nutritious lunch, the children completed their first activity of the day with great enthusiasm. Working together as a team, they then prepared their own beds and showed fantastic cooperation. The children are now warming up by having dinner and listening to the briefing for the night walk.

Enjoying a hot chocolate whilst watching a story, Pyjamas on and ready for bed!

Day 2: The children had a well rested night’s sleep and awoke to a beautiful sunny morning, albeit rather chilly! They had a delicious breakfast which included a selection of fruits, croissants, cereals and juices. After breakfast, they had their room inspections, with the winning groups being announced before the morning brief with the instructors. Children have wrapped up warm and have left for their morning activities.

Children enjoyed an amazing morning completing their activities. After that, they recharged their batteries with a delicious lunch of tomato soup and croutons, sandwiches, fruit, crisps and chocolate cookies! They have been brilliant and overcome many fears. The teamwork and bonds they have built have developed and deepened through encouragement and support of one another.

Day 3: Tired eyes for the morning briefing this morning. All ready and full of optimism for the last activity. Suitcases packed and ready for the coach later today.

The activities included:

Caving: The children ventured and explored the caves.  The children faced the challenge of navigating enclosed spaces, learning to remain calm and trust both their abilities and the support of their peers.

High Rope: The high ropes and G3 swing tested the children's courage with heights, created resilience and facing their fears and also supporting their peers.
